Impacts

We are seeing impacts of global warming all throughout the world. we see things such as longer more dry summers and shorter more mild winters. These impacts effect farmers and every day people. We rely one the simple basis and nature cycles of the seasons which they have been relatively constant through the last couple centuries. Now winter storms are later in the season and more severe, such as the past winter had a terrible storm in the East Coast. On average there were 30 inches of snow in more than 7 states. Along with the heavy snowfall there were winds up to 57 miles per hour and tornado count of 8 through the coast. The damages done during the storm was estimated between 500 million and 3 billion dollars. This was one of the worst storms in decades and had a death count of 12 with incidences related to the blizzard. Storms like this are becoming less of a rare occurrence. There are more and more sever storms throughout the United States whether it is from blizzards like the one this winter or tropical storms in the South. Storms like this don’t only happen in the Unites States it happens throughout the world. The Southern Asia region is heavily effected by tropical storms and flooding, especially the Philippines. Over the last 20 years there have been over 150,000 reports deaths caused by flooding. These numbers are concerning because thy are only showing us how in danger our earth is. We are heading down a very dangerous path the potentially hurting our world to a point where we might be able to live through the end of it. We still have hope but it will be a very hard road to slow down this dangerous road.
